Not much to report since our boat trip on Wednesday.

The weather continues to be in the high 20's. Our first week is over and what time started going very slowly now seems to be picking up pace sadly.

As with most of the hotels in this area they all overlook the sea and with a flat promenade for several kilometres there is always people strolling, walking or jogging at various times of the day and night.

I choose strolling so will share with you my stroll today.



Our hotel has a floating pontoon jetty for those wanting to have a dip in the cool sea, accessed by a boardwalk and then a rigid wooden jetty the final part is a floating pontoon, it looked rather too wobbly for me to walk on as I definitely wasn't planning on taking a dip.

I stood for a while checking out the little rock pools as the waves cascaded over the rocks but didn't see any sign of sea life.

Back onto the promenade I turned left and was heading for a small church that I had been told was not too far away.

The other day when I turned right out of the hotel there were quite a lot of stone or wooden benches to sit and rest, but these were lacking on my route left.

I did manage to sit under a shady tree and chatted to a couple who were staying at the hotel next to ours, apparently they walk to the church & back every day, they were on their way back as they start early to avoid the heat & build up an appetite for their breakfast.

Some of the hotels were, like ours, for adults only but others had facilities for families although at this time of the year the children were mostly babies and toddlers.

I passed three hotels owned by the Constantinuous Brothers who seem to own quite a lot of properties here, hotels, shops, commercial buildings and private villas.

On the flight out a couple sitting next to me were staying at one of the hotels in the Constantinuous group and as I walked past I caught the eye of the couple and we chatted for a while.

The promenade path meandered along the coastline and soon I saw the little white church not far in the distance.

What a gem, the church was built in 2013 with typical blue dome ,doors & shutters. Positioned at the end of the coastal path with wonderful views,

The door was open and inside the frescoes on the walls and domed ceiling were bright and colourful. The church was obviously well looked after & in such a beautiful setting overlooking the sea. A wonderful place to get married and no doubt fabulous sunsets too across to Paphos Harbour.



As I left the church I heard the sound of singing coming from a local delivery man who was unloading his truck of logs to take to the nearby hotel, no doubt for their pizza oven. The hotel was one of the Constantinuous brothers hotels & we too had a wood fired pizza oven so some of those logs might be heading our way.

This stretch of the coastal path had more sandy beach areas than my stroll the other day. Plenty of watersports on offer too.



As I made my way back to the hotel there was a warm breeze on my face, but not to be fooled it was still very hot and as I arrived back David had ordered me a nice cold glass of my new tipple Ouzo with lemonade.

A couple of swims in the pool, a light lunch under the Olive Tree, a few kindle pages read, relaxing under the parasol & an enjoyable day as part of our Fly 'N' Flop holiday.

Tonights dinner, a BBQ set around the pool areas with local musicians and dancers.

Might just have to try the water aerobics class tomorrow.
