Trip to Chasseneuil and Rochefoucauld

Ascension day - it is a bank holiday, the church services are catholic and all in French!

We travelled to Chasseneuil du Bonnieure - this was where the French Resistance was formed - there is a large memorial and over 2000 graves. As a visiting Monsieur said - it is tres importante.

We then had lunch at La Rochefoucauld - the best galette we have ever tasted! The chateau was spectacular but we didn’t visit, but the ducklings were cute. Warm and sunny day.
