We woke up at 6 today to get to Moraine Lake. As I said the parking lot fills up, so we were able to get a spot! The kids slept as we drove and Max and I slept some more when we got there! rick cooked breakfast at a picnic area near the parking lot. Once it warmed up, we ranted canoes for an hour, which cost C$220!!! We’ve decided we like Lake Moraine better than Lake Louise which gets most of the fuss.

After lunch the kids got 3 Xplorer badges for Banff, Lake Louise and the IceFields Parkway.

We had some of our first bad weather today with some hail.

For dinner we had a treat and ate at the old Lake Lousie train station. Trains were instrumental to making these parks accessible to tourists (Glacier, Banff and Jasper). They built a lot of the early hotels and tea houses to support tourism and increase train travel. It was a nice dinner and interesting to check out the historic building.
