Today we hopped the Metro. BTW, have we told you the subways in Europe are way better than the provincial thing in Atlanta. They go everywhere here, seven lines in Barcelona. But we digress, after the metro, we then made the train with a ton of time to spare...two minutes. An hour later we arrived in Montserrat, and took a cable car up 2400 feet. Not a ride for folks worried about heights.

This place was first occupied as a monastery in 1025, but monks were here a hundred years earlier living in caves. But all of the current buildings were constructed in the 19th century. My gosh, that was yesterday.

Now a bit of a confession (perhaps we will visit that priest). Yesterday, we recriminated ourselves that the pictures did not do Sagrada Familia justice. Today, looking at the pictures as we type, the sights were not as impressive in person. But hey, the pix look good, at least we think so.

Forgot to mention yesterday, there are no more hard deadlines!!! We have been flying a lot lately, and although they certainly should, planes will not wait for Bird and HP. But now no flights until October. We pick up a car on Monday and proceed to Andorra.

Doozer, thanks for cutting the grass. You are great! Baby Bird, Sally sent us an email where she confessed, and wished she had not invaded the trash. Thanks for keeping your sister. Two great kids. What else could anyone wish for?
