No interesting pictures or stories tonight. Quick entry to say Hello. We are in Chicago. We were here before 1pm. Not much to say. We left our house around 4:30am and thanks to the thick fog, the road construction between Houston and Rolla, and the backed-up traffic in St Louis, we arrived at the airport exactly on time. We flew United Airlines ~ St Louis to Chicago ~ our paperwork said 1 hour 28 minutes and neither of us thought that was correct. We have made that flight multiple times prior at 45 minutes. Kamie timed our flight from takeoff to landing and it was 43 minutes. We sat in a holding area with multiple other United planes waiting for another plane to leave before we could taxi to our gate… so that was another 25 minutes. We didn’t do much today. We ate at Shoeless Joes where they advertised an authentic Chicago beef sandwich. Kamie said it was spicy. We both took a short nap (thanks vacation) and then I reorganized the suitcases. We watched a lot of TV with "Cubs" commercials - the Chicago Cubs are selling cars and food all over Chicago. Kamie refused to wear his St

Thinly sliced Italian beef, Italian bread, Provolone, and I think there may have been some sort of peppers. This was Kamie's choice of the day ~ The "Original Chicago" sandwich. The tater tots... probably not original.
Louis Cardinals pajamas outside to have a smoke. Ha Our hotel is next to the O’Hare airport. They have benches by the side entrance where you can sit and watch the planes takeoff. It was a cooler, windy evening so we sat out on a bench for a good hour or two talking and watching the planes. It was nice. We are across the street from a McDonalds so we went to get drinks. Their marquee said “Jalapeno Chicken is Back” so I asked about it and the girl said it had been around for a while and was very popular. We weren’t hungry and Kamie & I both had an unexpected spicy lunch so we didn’t want to try the McDs Jalapeno Chicken. We’ve had a boring evening but we have a long day tomorrow. We fly on Lufthansa’s Boeing 747-8i tomorrow – the second largest passenger jet in the world and the longest passenger jet in the world. It’s a double-decker plane so we are kinda excited to see it. We leave Chicago tomorrow to land at our first destination… Tallinn, Estonia.

Yay!
Glad you are on your way! Kamie's brother would probably like to know a bit more about that McDonald's jalapeno chicken sandwich. It will be what he hones in on when you tell us more about your trip. Sadly. #langstonboys

HaHaHaHa It looked like sliced jalapenos with jalapeno cheese maybe? The pictures made it look like a mushroom and swiss. It was so popular it was on the 2 for $3 menu with the nuggets! I can't wait until our marquee at home says "McRib is Back!" #happiness

Can't believe you didn't try the McD Jalapeno sandwich!?! Or get a Chicago deep dish. Food would be my priority at every stop! :) Big planes scare me... seem to be more tempting to dangerous folks, but Kamie did seem to be excited about it. Hope you had a pleasant flight!
