Looking for hostel suggestions in London, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Venice, Florence, Rome, Athens, Prague, Munich, Budapest, and Amsterdam.
Hello everyone. So I\'m planning a 2 month Europe trip this summer. Since it\'s my first time out there, I\'m kind of clueless as what areas to stay in. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for these cities:
1. London
2. Paris
3. Madrid
4. Barcelona
5. Venice
6. Florence
7. Rome
8. Athens
9. Prague
10. Budapest
11. Munich
12. Amsterdam
I\'ve done some preliminary research on hostelworld.com and hostel.com. In Rome I was looking at the Roma Inn which is located by the Coliseum. Is that a safe area? In Paris I was looking at St. Christopher\'s in Montmarte. In London was looking at YHA London Central. Finally, in Amsterdam, I was looking at the Flying Pig. I love to party, so I don\'t mind loudness. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Reply to this Hello Giovanni Ruiz 😊
In Munich u could try http://www.the-tent.com/
It is around 15 Euros per night.
If u dont fancy that then u could try http://www.easypalace.de/
One of their branches is near the Central Train Station. I think the other is close to the Weizen where the Beer Festival is held. Not as cheap as the first option but still one of the most economical options in Munich.
In Venice Ostello Venezia is to be recommended because of its location. It faces towards San Marco from the island Guidecca. For contact details about it just Google Ostello Venezia, Venice.
Probably the cheapest place to stay in London is http://www.piccadillyhotel.net/london-hostels-english/london-hostels-main.html
I dont know of any hostels that I would especially recommend in the other locations u list. All the ones I stayed in are Centrally located as hostels often are but ordinary. To look at what each city has to offer google the city name, hostels and a list will come up with maps to show where they are located and what facilities they provide.

Reply to this Thank you so much for the help everyone 😊 I finished booking all my hostels and even added a few cities! haha. After setting up my train schedule I'm now going to:
Vienna
Brussels
Frankfurt
I can't wait. I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited!
Reply to this I dont know of any special hostels in those cities Giovanni.
Try your luck with any centrally located one.

Reply to this I stayed at the Flying Pig in Amsterdam (the one by the Leidseplein) a couple of years ago, and it was a great experience. Very safe, literally within walking distance of the museums, and a great party atmosphere. Both the toilet and the shower were in the room (although separated, so people could use each independently)... i can't say enough good things about it; I highly recommend it.
Do let us know what you chose and how it was after your trip, I want to do a similar tour later on 😊
Reply to this Good to hear akarasuma. Yeah, I'm actually staying at the Flying Pig downtown in Amsterdam for my trip. 😊 I tried to get as good of a combination between price, central location, security, cleanliness, availability, etc. I also mixed up party hostels and quieter hostels for certain cities. I figure I MIGHT not be able to party 2 months straight haha. As for the other cities, these are the ones I ended up booking at:
London - YHA London Central Hostel
Paris - St. Christophers Paris
Madrid- Cat's Hostel
Barcelona- Gothic Point Hostel
Venice- Residenza Santa Croce
Florence- Academy Hostel
Rome- Roma Inn
Athens- Students & Travellers Inn
Budapest- Carpe Noctem
Vienna- Hotel Ruthensteiner
Prague- Miss Sophie's
Munich- Wombat's City Hostel
Brussels- 2GO4 Quality Hostels
Frankfurt- Frankfurt Hostel
Reply to this Thanks Giovanni 😊
It is good to know that there is another option in Munich. There is such a shortage of budget accomodation here.

Reply to this Hey Mell. Yeah, I did my research on a few sites, but hostelworld.com was probably the best one. It has people how have stayed at the hostels do reviews based on different criteria such as character, security, location, fun, and cleanliness. It also shows you maps of where they're located, the facilities the hostels have, etc. If you ever want to look for a hostel, I highly recommend it.
Reply to this Yeah hostelworld is usually where I look first and usually where I book. 😊
