Hi, all!
I'm planning for a trip to UK the coming fall and i intended to visit France, Switzerland & germany ( holland if possible)
Pls advise on the must visit places in these countries and also the transportation in europe.... Is the bullet train better than flight?
Pls advise.....
Thanks
Reply to this hee BelleG... if your happen to come to germany you definatly see berlin ( east meets west) for culture, party, concerts and hanging around in some of the cosy-wired-some sort of its own bars which are all around there. and another tip from me is to see heidelberg -apperently the city where i live...beautiful historical center with castle and so on and loads of other things to explore....
i recommend to you to use the train which covers whole germany (and the neihbouring countries pretty good).
try to use the "wochenendticket" (weekendticket) which you can either travel alone or share it with 4 other persons (differnet price) for around 30 € to get through whole germany....
good luck

- UK - London is a must, with all the different cultures and history in the city, it makes for a unique experience.
- France - Paris is an easy choice here, but if your going to move on to Switzerland or Germany, try and stop in one of the cities on your way out of France. There is more to the country than what is in Paris. Reims or Dijon are good places to run through.
- Switzerland - The lake view in Lucern is amazing, take an afternoon cruise, its worth the money. Zurich is another amazing city to see.
- Germany - I think Andi would be better than this than me, but I loved Munich while I was there. Germany is an amazing place with a great nightlife.
Planes are fast but trains let you take in the scenery. I'd suggest a plane from UK to France, Train while going between France - Switzerland - Germany. Here are some cheap airlines,
