Anyone Fancy a RTW Trip?

I'm thinking of a RTW in early 2008 and I'm looking for someone like-minded who is up for going. I'm quite open-minded as to itinerary and have nothing booked yet. Get in touch!

I'm thinking of a RTW in early 2008 and I'm looking for someone like-minded who is up for going. I'm quite open-minded as to itinerary, and I'm even unsure about how I want to travel. Obviously a RTW flight is an option but then so is the train through Europe, to Moscow then to Beijing and then overland through Asia, then who knows.

Obviously there are a lot of ways to do something like this and I am keeping an open mind. I would like to visit every continent if possible, although I have already spent a year in Australia so staying there too long is not top of my list. Also, South America deserves a lot of attention in my opinion.

If you are interested in travelling with someone then feel free to get in touch. I'm male, 24, from Middlesbrough, easy-going and adventutrous. Reply to this

I'm a bit tempted--I won't lie. I was planning a trip to Australia and SE Asia, but I'm open to doing pretty much anything. One thing I thought of was maybe hitting up Beijing during the Olympics.

I probably wouldn't be able to leave until June.

About me, 26, soon to be 27, female from the States.

Cool message me on or http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=690855548. I'm not entirely sure of when I want to go yet. It could be as late as summer though, so let me know what you're thinking about.

BTW the olympics in Beijing is a great idea!

that's the sort of thing i have been considering. i was thinking either ferry to Holland and maybe Germany/Poland/Belarus (or something along those lines) then the trans-siberian route from Moscow to beijing, or

trains through europe (paris, budapest etc.) and then along the silk route to china. either way followed by overland to shanghai/hongkong and Vietnam/Laos/Thailand/Malaysia.

They're just ideas - I don't really have an itinerary. but - yeh - i'm interested!! Reply to this

Hey Dave,
I was planning a RTW trip starting in Sept. 08 for about a year. I like some of your ideas, particularly the silk route to China. I'm from Ontario, Canada and so I was going to start in the US and go through central and south america (Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, etc.). From there, fly to Europe. I haven't decided on a route from Europe. I plan on doing this trip on a budget, so I will be camping or hostelling. I don't have a set itinerary yet. Do you have any set plans yet? Reply to this
