Looking for a very romantic restaurant with a great view (prefferably of the Eiffel Tower) to propost to my girlfriend

I am looking for recommendations for a great place to propose to my girlfriend. I was going to take the train from London to Paris for the day, tour around a bit, then propose over a romantic dinner over looking the Eiffel Tower at night...

Any Suggestions? Please Help, as I've only been to Paris once, several years ago...

Well, there is one in the Eiffel Tower itself, but I believe it is quite expensive and it has to be booked up well in advance. The Jules Verne restaurant is situated on the second level, about 125 metres above the ground. For more info see www.tour-eiffel.fr/teiffel/uk/pratique/resto/index.html.

If you go to the top of the Montparnasse tower then you can get a meal and cocktails there, there is a pianist and the panoramic is IMO the best in Paris.

Hi Ed,

There is a trendy restaurant with a beautiful view of Eiffel Tower in a museum. Its name is : "Les ombres". Have a look to the official website, there are some pictures: http://www.lesombres-restaurant.com/
I've never tried the restaurant, but the museum is really nice, and Eiffel tower view is amazing!!
