The city of Belgorod - a nook of ancient forgotten Russia

Dear friends,

If you want to see and know real Russia, it will be too little to visit only Moscow or St.Petersburg. Of course these two main Russian cities
are very beautiful and interesting, but they are not whole Russia or maybe now they are not Russia at all.

I would like you to pay attention to such city as Belgorod. It's located 800 kilometers to the South from Moscow just in the centre of the most ancient part of the Russian state. So many towns and places of the Belgorod region still preserve the distinguishing features of the old forgotten Russia.
Orthodox cathedrals that remember the steps of Peter the Great and his iron regiments, quiet forests and white churches looking at waters of holy springs stand like the eternal sentinels at the gate of Russian History.
And also nobody can stay indifferent to the majestic monuments and Diorama of the biggest tank battle of the World War II, the Kursk battle.
It's a a nook of ancient and at the same time modern Russia indeed.
