I'm an American student on vacation in Spain since entry on May 14th and am leaving the country on August 23rd back to the States. By my calculations I have overstayed the 90 tourist period by 7 DAYS, I made a trip to England in June for 5 days (outside of the Schengen area) which took care of some days. I had previously had a flight booked out of BCN El Prat for the 6th of August, but had to change the date to the 23rd because my family was visiting/unexpected trip to Mallorca and the only affordable flight was the 23rd after that. My flight leaves out of BCN but makes a connection in LONDON HEATHROW, this is the part I am most concerned about as I have had friends tell me they are pretty stringent on visa overstays.
I know this is a dumb situation made by a careless mistake/miscalculation but does anyone have any experience with the same amount of overstay/flying out of London and the penalties?
Reply to this No problem. They will problably fly you straight to Guantanamo and leave your explanations to those guys over there.
I am surprised, you are a citizen of the most difficult Country to visit, and you make this kind of mistake?
