Do I need UK visa to travel using british airways from Denmark to the USA?

I am planning to travel to USA next month and the best flights are from British Airways. I got the US visa but I am not sure whether I will need to have England visa to travel using BA or not.

Hi,

I am planning to travel to USA next month and the best flights are from British Airways. I got the US visa but I am not sure whether I will need to have England visa to travel using BA or not.

The flight that I want to book has one stop in London, wondering whether that will require me to have visa or not.

Thanks. Reply to this

Hello Sarah and welcome to the Forum!

Basically, if you don't leave the airport (i.e. don't cross through immigration) then you will not need a visa. However, if you need to change airports or are staying overnight and do cross through immigration, needing to pre-arrange a visa will depend on your nationality. Some nationalities can obtain a transit visa on arrival, but for most nationalities, they require this in advance. Reply to this

Thank you for the reply. I won't change the airport and not even the terminal. Reply to this
