Hi Everyone
I'm planning to go to Leh Ladakh during end of June. I've contacted a tour company and here is the basic information:
The basic information first:
Tentative dates: 23 June to 4 July
Starts from: Manali, India
Ends at: Leh, India
Type: Road Trip with hotel and camp stays at various destinations
Tentative cost: Indian Rupees 35,000 to 45,000 depending on the size of the group and the number of people together in a vehicle
Inclusions: All meals, transportation, permits, monument entries, all taxes, filtered water
Exclusions: Fare for Reaching Manali, Fare for leaving from Leh, Bottled Water, other attractions such as camel rides etc.
The itinerary that I’ve in mind features the awesome Manali-Leh drive (via Jispa & Serchu). The trip is a 9 night 10 day trip which starts from Manali and ends with a fly out back from Leh. It will cover a total distance of around 1600 kms and the highest point visited will be the Khardung-La Pass at an altitude of 5,600 mts.
The cost of Delhi to Manali and return flight from Leh to Delhi are not included but can be arranged by the same Company if required. Bottled Mineral water is not included. The water included is Aqua Guard purified which should be adequate.
The vehicle will be a 4x4 ie. Toyota Innova , Mahindra Scorpio or Toyota Qualis. Each vehicle could accommodate 3 to 5 people, excluding driver - 3 is utopian, 4 is ideal , 5 economical. I prefer 4 per vehicle Plus Driver.
I can send you the detailed itinerary along with destination information by email if you’re interested. Just drop me a message in my inbox and we’ll talk.
Cheers!
Rakesh.
