i like to get to venice from interlaken
i have 3 countries select pass for france,switzerland and italy
i searched in raileurope.com and i came up with
interlaken->spiez->brig->venice
approximately 6hrs and $38 for reservation fee.
is there a better way to go?
i was wondering if there's overnight train since i'm not sure if i want to waste 6 hrs during day.
and if any scenic train is available to venice

and which websites do you guys use to reserve ?

train is probably the best option. The station in venise is at the perfect spot. You won't waiste any time once you arrive. I think it is the fastest option too. Reply to this

Unfortunately no, there is no night train to take for this route.

You can use the trip planner at the Deutsche Bahn (German Rail) website to calculate rail trips for anywhere in Europe. The most direct route would to take that 6-hour and 33-minute route through Spiez and Milan. Sadly, all train trips from Interlaken to Venice would take you through Milan. Since there is nothing more direct between Interlaken and Venice, there are no night train options.

By the way, you want to get off at Venezia Santa Lucia station (often written as just Venezia S.L.). Venezia Mestre station is on the mainland, and you would have to catch a commuter train to travel out to Santa Lucia station.

If you need to make a reservation, you can do it through Rail Europe, but they do not allow all trips to be reserved, and they will charge a bit of a markup. Your other option is to go to the website for the rail service of the country from which the train will be departing.

Your last option is to wait until you get to Europe. You may make a train reservation from any major European rail station, for a trip pretty well anywhere in Europe. Especially if you are arriving at least a few days before you will take this trip, go ahead and make the reservation once you are in Europe.

Have a great trip! Reply to this
