will anyone be in hanoi this christmas? i am going to travel there alone and would love to hang out with some new friends.

If you don't find anyone, there will be all sorts of folk around in the Old Quarter to meet. Try Le Pub, Beer Hoi Junction or the bars on Ta Hien Street to meet travellers to hang out with....

Reply to this thanks. i know the hotels there are very cheap but since i am going to travel alone. do you think i would be better off to stay in a hostel instead? are the hostels there very crampy?
Reply to this We often stay near Hanoi backpackers and there is a really social atmosphere there. They have a lovely street front bar as well as a roof top place with bbqs etc. I haven't seen the rooms but it has a good reputation. Look it up on the internet.
