Visiting Ireland

Do you need to show customs in Ireland a hotel reservation or proof of a predetermined place to stay, before entering the country? If so, would you still visit Ireland?

Considering that I cannot go to Ireland w/o being able to show a hotel reservation or predetermined place to stay- you are making big judgments. If I showed up at customs without this - they would send me home - I have heard it happen before. Reply to this

I dont need to show a hotel reservation before entering Ireland, because I have an Irish passport, so this question doesnt really apply to me.
