Hey,

Just so you know, the train journey from Keszthely to Vienna is awkward, it takes about 5 hours and 5 changes. You'd need to leave very early in the morning to catch your flight. Getting anywhere from Keszthely is a bit of a pain, to be honest. Are you going to be staying there the whole time? Most of the places you listed are way too far away for day trips. Usually when people do trips with a rail pass they stay in different places along the way.

As for movement, once you get into Austria you will be able to cross into Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovenia with no troubles as they're all part of what's known as the Schengen area, and passport control on the borders in not necessary. Croatia is not part of Schengen or the EU, bu you will only need your passport to cross the border as a visa is not required for stays of up to 90 days. You should always take your passport with you everywhere you go anyway, as it's a legal requirement in most of these countries.
