Hey, I’ll be travelling in Mongolia for july and august 2009 and I’m looking for travel buddies to do
a horse trek in the Khövsgöl Nuur National Park.
You may have heard about the beautiful lake of Khövsgöl... The deal will be to travel by horse around this lake for 17 days
between the 8th and the 25th of July.
Right now,
we are three French tourists interested by this horse trip, and we would like to 6 tourists maximum to share this experience.
This horse trip is organized by the same local guesthouse with who I travelled last summer for a 10 days horse trip. So you can imagine that if I’m coming back this summer, that means I spent a amazing time...
About the organization :
- We’ll be travelling with 2 mongolian guides and 1 mongolian cooker. I know them, they are just incredible and funny people, be prepared to laugh all day ! You learn so much with them...
- Between 4 and 6 hours of horse riding per day
- Backpacks and all equipments and food needed will be carrying by pack animals
- We’ll celebrate
the Naadam Festival in Renchinlhumbe on the 11th and 12th of July: see horse races and wrestling.
- Our guides know very well their region and the
nomads living there, so we’ll often stop to visit them, and learn about their way of living.
- This area is just beautiful : huge lake (140 kms from north to south), pine trees forests, mountains, steppe...
About the price:
- of course, that will depend on the number of travellers:
If we are 6 people: 900$ per person, for the 17 days horse trip, all included from Khatgal to Khatgal (place where we’ll start the trip, at the south of Khövsgöl lake).
