i was wondering what are the dos/don't s of picture taking in Venice and surrounding areas. i know pretty much anything while outside is permissible, my main concern is inside museum, churches, galleries, restaurants, bars, etc.

as i don't want to offend anyone, yet would like to capture as much of the beauty Italy has to offer as possible, down to what we opted to eat that day. it makes story telling of the journey that much more fun. Reply to this

Hello Geoff 😊

I think if there isnt a sign saying 'no photos' it should be alright. To complain when there are no signs up saying what you are not allowed to do would be unreasonable in my opinion.

thanks Mel, makes perfect sense to me. i was just reading my Frommer's guide ans read a snippet regarding strict attire, no photography and having to remain silent in St Marks Basilica which is what prompted my question. 😊 Reply to this
