Anyone up for going together? I have never been and certainly don't wish to go alone. Given the current political climate and the outlook on females travelling solo in that region, looking for someone of the male persuasion. Must haves:
1. Sense of humor
2. Flexibility in regards to new situations (open mind :D)
3. Willingness to be part of a team (no huge egos)

right now, I am thinking about going from Dec 18 to Jan 4 or 6th, depending my winter holidays.
Where I live, I can have some extra days using the Christimas holidays. Companies are usually closed from Dec 22 to Jan 4th.
My mother has travelled 5 or 6 times to Egypt, but on May or September, October...the best days.

December is one of the best months to visit and new years eve there is a blast.
I am debating between lebanon and egypt but if you are interested then we can plan something cool for 10-14 days which is what am planning.

Sounds like a great plan.
My ticket is arriving cairo on the 22nd of december leaving on the 6th.
I will be flying from los angeles on the 19th arriving london on the 20th for 2 nights then flying to cairo.
Am originally from the UAE.
Do you have any specific plans?
I was thinking of spending few days in cairo and the rest is between "dahab" and maybe the north coast " marina".
But if you have any plans let me know as am open to ideas yet not the southern part as its not as fun.
Usually i do rent a car which i have reserved already as i hate dealing with taxis in egypt.
If we have a plan i can send u my suggestions for hotels as i have certain hotels in mind to stay which are really cool and relaxing.
I havent reserved any yet but will do if we do agree on a plan so we both get to be on the same track.
We can talk on msn if you like so we get to chat and plan it in details... what do u think?
