Is Lufthansa so rude and insensitive

My wife travelled using Lufthansa and her experience at Frankfurt was so horrific.

Lufthansa people at Frankfurt are the rudest and most uncompassionate people on earth. My wife was traveling with 2 small kids in Feb 2006. She checked-in stroller at the gate in USA so that she can get it at Frankfurt during her 7 hour layover at the airport. When she reached Frankfurt, Lufthansa didn’t have stroller for her at the gate. On top of that, passengers had to climb staircases to get to the main floor, carrying their kids and hand baggage. My wife waited for 1.5 hours around the gate with no knowledgeable person able to help her. On Lufthansa person will come, ask her something and disappear. He mocked her one time and suggested that she can get the stroller at baggage claim - this is when she cannot get out of custom and her baggage is checked all the way to her final destination.

She finally left after 1.5 hours and had to carry one kid in her arm while trying to push two carry-ons. That also at the worst airport in the world - Frankfurt - where it is hard to find things and no good place to rest and have to take train to get to the main food, etc. area.

When my wife went back to check-in at the gate for her forward journey, she asked Lufthansa personnel at desk to get some help so that she can carry luggage and kids down the stairs. My two small kids were so tired and were sleeping. The lady at the desk told her, they generally don’t help in these things. My wife cried at the insensitivity and rudeness of these people. They lost her stroller, mocked her and then didn’t help her when she was so tired carrying kids and hand baggage for 7 hours at the airport. Never ever, will travel Lufthansa. Reply to this

I don't know... If I worked at the airline, I wouldn't want to carry kids for someone, either. Not only is it not in the job description, but it's a liability. Also, why did she have two pieces of luggage with her? If she couldn't carry it, she should have checked it. Also, she shouldn't have brought her kids if she couldn't handle them. Reply to this
