Hi, my name is Matt, I'm 18 and I live in Richmond, Virginia, USA, and I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a way I could get to Europe via cargo ship in exchange for work? I know my dad traveled on a barge in exchange for work in China when he was my age, but I don't know if that would be so easy today. Any suggestions? I could buy a plane ticket, but Im getting ready to go off to college next year, and I would blow almost all of my money just getting to Europe, and I have friends in Germany I really would like to visit.
