Hi All

Are you visiting Nepal in October and wanting to hike some of the Annapurna circuit?

I'm Chris and am looking for a hiking companion/s for Nepal. I arrive in Kathmandu on October 10th and depart November 1st to Varanasi in India.

I hope to spend 2 - 3 weeks hiking the Annapurna circuit and I'm learning that if fit and healthy, a guide/porter isn't necessary (but I'm open to other people's preferences). I've got some good maps and am used to roughing-it and will bring the equipment to do so, but will happily adapt for those who need a little more comfort.

I'm a 30 years old English guy and just about to finish studying a Masters in Renewable Energy in England. I've lived in Australia for the past 3 years and return there at the end of this year.

I've done a lot of independently travel in the past 14 years and am a regular hiker. Some of my longer trips include Everest Base camp trail, parts of the Peruvian Andes, lots of mainland Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand.

I'm a pretty organised person and get up early when I can to make the most of my day.

I volunteered with Engineers without Borders in Australia and hope to visit at least the Kathmandu project while in the country.

Any interest in joining me, send me a 'hello'.

Chris

Hi Chris,

I will be in Kathmandu from Oct 11 to the 18 then off to Tibet. I don't think I have time to do such long hikes but will be around in Kathmandu and Chitwan area.

Brian.

Hi. I was wanting to travel in Nepal in October/November but my travel buddies backed out. I might be just going to Thailand now, not quite sure what my plan is yet, but if decide to go then perhaps I can join ya. I like the sounds of your ideas. I'm also an early riser and into the great outdoors etc. I have some hiking experience in scotland and france, perhaps not as extensive as you. I was originally planning to do some hiking in the Himalayas.

I'm 23yr old , male from Scotland. In all I'm very active ( Mainly into road cycling and board sports) and have just finished studying 5 years of physics.

I need to be in Australia for december, but thats my main restraint.

cheers.

Hi,

I am arriving in Nepal Oct 11th - my travel buddies also bailed at the last minute. Unfortunately we had booked with a local company who have been great and I have stuck with them not wanting to let them down even more.

A flashier trip then I would have done if I knew I was going alone - ie nicer hotels in Kat and Pok - but then I am 41 so deserve it! I have paid and have a guide/porter set up as I was strongly advised by some buddies who have done the circuit to get rid of a few kgs as well as supporting the local economy.

This does mean I am on a pre arranged schedule - leaving Kat on the 14th Oct for the AC arriving back in Pokhara on the 31st ish.

Emigrated to Canada from the UK 4 years ago and having a last backpack before the sprog arrives in Feb!

Have done a lot of backpacking over the years but very little trekking so hopefully I can drag myself over the Thorung La.

I am happy enough to travel alone but it would be good to hook up with others from time to time for a beer and to share some of the experiences. (I wonder what you do if you arrange to hook up and it turns out the other person is mad as cheese!).

cheers

Chris
