I'm a Brit living in America, and I think you're nuts! :-p

I think it's all what you make of it, not what others make of it. If you think you can do it, do it... keep a safety net if all falls through though. Reply to this

my sister has been living in london for roughly ten years. she's married to a brit and she enjoys it. according to her it can get lonely and at first it's rough, but that happens no matter where you move whether it's abroad or domestic. she actually can not imagine living in the states any more. every few years they think of moving back but decide not to. I say go for it, but then this isn't my personal experience but based off my observations of my sister's experience. Reply to this

I used to have a American lecturer who is working in Leicester, England. He seems quite appreciate peaceful life there, but the only thing that upsets him is that he could not enjoy as much sunshine as he did in the US, thus, every afternoon, he lays himself down on the grass, half naked to absorb English's precious sunshine! if you go to Leicester uni, I bet u still have chance to see this live statue! I'm an American currently studying in England because I didn't want to marry my bf right off the bat in case we didn't end up together. Anyway, It's hard. They're not sensitive with making jokes since the majority of them are about America/Americans (my bf actually had to start taking stands against his friends making the jokes after awhile because it upset me so much). It's not a bad life but I'm not convinced they're all that accepting of people moving out here right now. Make sure you know what you're leaving and make sure you have tough skin for the first few years...

I didn't know what I was in for and now I have a list of mental problems and know the home I left isn't the home I'd be going back to now. Reply to this
