Travelling Europe, where to go.
Planning to tour Europe for a couple of months with Interrail - which offers 29 of the European countries + Morocco. But I'm sure in that time I can't hit 30 countries so where would any previous travellers recommend as a must-see or a should-see? Suppose this is more about anywhere other than Southern Europe which is generally more publicised as far as landmarks etc are concerned but any advice will be excellent.
Also what is a recommended budget for 2 months in Europe and are there any good sites/companies around to sort out short-term, fairly cheap accommodation?
Thanks in advance.
Reply to this I just did a 17 day trip a few months ago. Since it was my 2nd time to Europe this year, I thought I had the budget down... I went so far over budget, I couldn't believe it. Prague is NOT cheap... I think I made out better in Paris. Switzerland hurt the wallet BIG time, but I saw some of the most beautiful scenery ever. Do plenty of reading on this site, and see where your money will stretch the furthest, and save as much as you can in those places to make up for the others.
Reply to this I really enjoyed Amsterdam and surroundings (Volendam, Marken, Leiden,..). Utrecht is only 30 Km. away and its a very charming place. The Netherlands is one of my favourites countries.
