Looking to travel with someone more exotic than you'll find in South America? ;-)

I'll be in South America for the first time in about a month or so and would love to meet and possibly hang out with other travelers along the way.

I'll be flying into Santiago de Chile on the 13th of August out of Madrid.

My plan is to stay in Santiago 1-2 days and then find an easiest way to do a small (2-4 days) tour of Salar de Uyuni. This would be either (whichever is easier) direct from Santiago or from La Paz (Bolivia) where I'll be flying later on. I'd probably stay in La Paz for a few days as well to get accustomed to the height and then do an overland tour to Puno and see lake Titicaca/Sun-Island (probably something like http://www.transturin.com/day.html). Out of Puno I'd probably do a 1-2 day tour to Uros island and then take the train or a bus-tour to Cusco. There I'd visit Machu Picchu and some other sights along the way before flying to Lima and on to Guayaquil (Ecuador).

In Ecuador I'll probably be visiting Galapagos but there I'm even more flexible as my main purpose there is to spend time and visit a friend for 2 weeks.

But other than that - traveling in pair or a group through Chile/Bolivia/Peru might make sense and be fun. Especially for those sights like Uyuni that are not so easy to get to and we have to book a jeep-tour anyway.

I'm kind of spontaneous about my travels (usually don't book too much in advanced) but would still like/want to see the "popular" sights (Uyuni, Machu Picchu, Galapagos, etc.). Am also a pretty flexible guy but not a full backpacker per definition as such - prefer hostels/hotels to camping for example ;-)

I speak fluent English and German - my Spanish is virtually non-existent ;-)

BTW oh yeah - about my the "exotic" part of the title of my post - I'm Croatian and there is only like 4 million of us. So hurry - we're going fast ;-D I've got some extra info in my profile + uploaded a photo too. For anything else don't hesitate to ask ;-)

BTW I'm probably looking to do a 3-segment LAN Airpass flights within S.America - so if anyone is interested and contacts me within the next 10 days we could plan out and purchase these things together.

Its a good deal (for especially since my flight out of Europe is also with LAN). The segments that I wanted to fly (Santiago-La Paz, Cusco-Lima, Lima-Guayaquil) were like 360$ USD altogether.
