Have you emailed my dad? I think you can find something cheaper than that.

Thank you so much Kleopattra for the advice.

I have also been looking into volunteer work in Mexico, but found that most of the placements are very exploitive. I have sent your father an e-mail, so will wait and see what he can tell me 😊

I will be strating my travels in Mid september in Cuba, then hopefully travel a little in the caribbean and then onto Mexico and downwards😊

Hope that any of you will get in touch if you want to share in my travels, or you have any advice 😊 Reply to this

Heya,

I still haven't heard from your dad, but am sure he will get back to me as soon as he can 😊

So where would you advice me to go in Mexico? I am very interested in culture and especially the indian culture and heritage. I also love wildlife, and meeting people, so any tips will be greatly appreciated😊

Hi guys, I've talked to my dad and he said he didn't get any e-mail.
If you want I can give you another e-mail address he's got, but it would be via private message.
I'll be uploading the official CEM brochure during the weekend. I've just been incredibly busy, I haven't had enough time to spend on the computer.
Take care. Reply to this

Hey Mazz I studied Spanish in Mexico at a good school in Playa del Carmen. I didnt do any volunteering but I am sure they also offer volunteer program where you get to choose where to go and what you want to do, they dont just throw you into something. Also they school I studied at had excellent teachers and I thought it was reasonably priced. The school is called Viaspanish, the web address is http://www.viaspanish.com Reply to this

ok well i came with a program called original volunteers but i think you could prob do it on your own if you just get in touch with Tila (who is also the spanish teacher) Her lessons are usually like 10 dollars an hour i think wich is cheap for other places in the world but not as cheap as you can get in central america.... will ask her for her email address so you can get in touch with her if you want. Google original volunteers in the mean time... actually the OV house is really cool. And Merida is awesome I love it! Reply to this

Im here for 2-3 weeks then going to cuba for a few weeks then i have about 2 and a half months to backpack though central america. Might do a spanish intensive and some volunteering in Guatemala also and i fly back to australia from Panama city...I could totally live here though, I love Merida. When you coming to Mexico?
