Buying Bicycles in Montenegro or Italy

Want to do a biking tour of Europe, but not sure if I should buy a bike there or at home and transport it. I live in Vancouver.

My girlfriend and I are planning a four month bike tour starting May 2006. We are not sure if we should buy bikes in Vancouver, where we live, or if we should save ourselves the hastle of transporting bikes and just buy bikes when we arrive. We are first going to Podgorica (montenegro) then to Bar Italy.

I am think of doing a similar trip except i'm only going for 6-7 weeks 😞. But I don't wanna buy some cheap bike off the street here, if my ars is gonna be on a bike that long I want a good one. Does these markets have all sorts of bikes or is it all just old crap that ppl have stolen/used. Reply to this
