Sunday is my birthday. I will be turning from old to very old. :D Me, my boyfriend and daughter are going to Regensburg, Bavaria for the day. We will hang out in the old town. I heard it is beautiful.

Until Sunday I am stuck in the house babysitting. It is football season and like every football season my boyfriend has turned into a football maniac and spends all his after work hours in the bar shouting at the TV. :D Well, I am going to get into Munich center for a few hours tomorrow before the game starts for some shopping and a coffee, 😊 then back to the baby sitting.... Today, after work, i’ll go with my family, to our house next to the beach, in Sintra.
The water is not very hot in that place (completely different from Algarve), but the weather will be hot and shiny for the weekend.
Quite good to have some summer colours.
Sunday night, we will return to Lisbon, because Monday starts a new battle, it’s a work day.

My weekend was good. I went shopping in the city and had some coffee and cake in a cafe. 😊

I am so tired of fireworks! I live in a town that is so small we do not have any city council or mayor, hence no ordanices. This means the fireworks went on and on and on with it being 4th of July weekend. About 12:50am I finally openned my front door and firmly decreed. "It is almost 1am, GOODNIGHT!" My next step would have been to load my pistol and shoot off a round to punctuate the situtation LOL. But at 1am they decided to quit. The only city ordance we have is a leash law, the rest are from the county or state or federal. But nothing for the city. (My neighbor a couple of blocks from me raises chickens.) Most of the time I find this to be a benifit - but after putting up with my dogs going nuts that long - my patience had worn thin. Reply to this

Oh, I forgot about the 4th July. The was lots of American style food available in one of the supermarkets here last week like there is every year just before 4th July and I still forgot.

Add to the noise more like. Well, if you cant beat em, then join em. :D Reply to this

I know it would have. Which is part of the reason I didn't do it. But it was more frustration that was building because of it. As bad as it was for me, it was my neighbor I felt bad for. He is a Vietnam Vet. Everytime the whistle changes on the firework, his mind starts looking for the enemy. He has suffered enough w/o those kids carrying it on well into the night. Reply to this

There was a street party here where I live this weekend. All the shops were open yesterday, even though they are usually not open on Sundays. There were lots of steet stalls to buy things and to eat at.

There was also a miniture train that went all over the town picking people up and letting them off. We got on it and got out at the castle where we had coffee and cakes before getting back on the train on its way around again. It was fun. 😊 Reply to this
