Suggestions re Serviced Apartment in Berlin

Need Berlin hotel which caters for long term stays (i.e. need serviced apartment); think Mitte District will be best; need in-room Internet access; and looking at rate of 2000+ Euros a month.

Hello people,

I'm going to be in Berlin for 6 weeks from the 1 June 2006; I'm taking long service leave and going to be studying my university course—which I take by correspondence—during the day, and enjoy the atmosphere of Berlin during the World Cup in the afternoons/evenings.

I'm looking for a serviced apartment in the Mitte District (I think this would probably be the most convenient to night spots, shopping, restaurants et cetera).

The serviced apartment must have in-room Internet (required for my university work).

I am budgeting for 2000+ Euro a month; mostly interested 4 and 5 star hotels.

(1) If you can suggest hotels that meet these requirements I would be very grateful.

(2) Will the World Cup matches be televised in some of Berlin's parks on large screens? I think this would be a nice way to enjoy the football games.

(3) What are some of Berlin's night life areas?

Thanks for the help.

You have a budget of 2000€ for one month ????????? Unbelieveable......or did you mean 200€ per month?
Berlin is great, don't know much about the nightliefe, but it is supposed to be great! Maybe not that great that the nightlife of Barcelona! :-) http://www.barcelonapoint.com

Why don't you look for accommodation at the university when you are going to study there? Berlin is pretty expensive and living in a hotel is pretty boring, don't you think? I would share a flat with s.o. so you know some people and they can show you the nightlife of Berlin!
