I can imagine that it is going to be great in Sweden/Norway/Denmark at that time: a lot of snow and freezing cold! All you need to get some warm clothes with you and drink a lot of hot chocolate to warm you up! :-)

In Poland, Hungary might be the same, pretty cold, less than in Scandinavia obviously!

YOu are sure you want to go to a cold country?
Why don't you come to Spain, Barcelona????? It is way much warmer and to visit the city is worth it. For some more information about reasonable accommodation, what to do and what to see and about the history: http://www.barcelonapoint.com

But Germany or Austria are pretty nice too to visit in December- cold as well, but there you will find the German Christmas Market (Christkindlmarkt) - the best is in Nuremberg- and some yummy gingerbread (Lebkuchen)and hot wine with spices (GlÜhwein). Nothing better than that in wintertime!

All up to you, make up your mind and good luck with your decicion!

What exactly are you looking to do on your travels? Sightseeing, activities, relax, or? Without knowing what floats your boat, it's hard to give any great advice. Sweden would be good if you like winter activities, and they have many cultural events in December, such as Lucia, and such. It was be an interesting place to visit, but expect temperatures around -10c I guess.

On the other hand, if you are in southern Europe, it would still be reasonably mild, and you could relax more and unwind.

If you were going in late December, Edinburgh would be a MUST for the Hogmanay celebrations. It's the ultimate street party. But you aren't 😞 Reply to this

It depends on what weather do you like😊 If you like cold, real winter weather, then i suggest Budapest or Wien, here you can find some place to stay
http://uk.video.yahoo.com/watch/3049615/8703000 i stayed here as well. You can join some Xmas activites, and there are lots of sights waiting for you..

If you prefer warm weather, then visit Spain or Portugese, you can always find some accomodation, but the Christmas isn't as good as in Germany, Austria or Hungary! Reply to this
