On the edge. Its also a bit hard to explain why the name of this volcano reminds me of an Ian Dury song about Essex lads

WOW those glaciers
How impressive they are. Have you identified the fungi? Are they similar to the ones in NZ? On beech trees? Keep enjoying yourself..but your Dads coast looks too big. Have you shrunk?

Photos r good Dais
Nice to see you can put some photos up Dais. Will show dad tomorrow. He says he will look at your blog. I left him step by step instructions. Sarah did her biology re-sit exam today, it was the same as 2 wks ago. Her maths is on Fri. Hoping she scrapes thru both of course. Lucy and Ike drop over our way almost daily for internet but seem to be going ok at Senang. I return Sat. Been nice here, not wet or humid like home. R u warm enough!! Snow and glaciers must be cooling. Did you buy some boots? Is there internet cafes in most places or backpackers/youth hostels? R u getting around with others or mainly by yourself? Safer with others surely. Yes the worried sis talking. So take care dais. M

At last
a decent looking cluster of different fungi. Have you managed to score a reference book on S A funghi yet? Might be better to leave it until just before you leave or it will be stolen anyway......I suppose travelling without a camera, phone or ipod is a lighter way to travel! Happy Christmas and New Year wherever you are....M n Jx

great piccies
Hi Bro, Keep up the informative blogs & piccies as you're showing us some great scenery. Bad luck about the food poisoning but how did you walk with that? Glad you are meeting nice people who let you stay in their hostel! The cat looks very cute, will it fit in your rucksack?

Love the phone booth
I'm loving the photos - the phone booth looks great, though not sure if there's much room for a quick change out of that bamboo affected clothing. This is a great way for you to keep in touch with your family, who are obviously missing you. Keep smiling. Georgie
