Uruguay

Feels like we have been on the Atkins diet for the last few days, with lots of meat, meat and more meat. After 3 nights in Buenos Aires, we made a ferry crossing to Uruguay yesterday to a small historic town called Colonia Del Sacremento in time for a great sunset over the estuary of the Uruguay river. Heading back to Buenos Aires for a Saturday night out (based on what we´ve seen so far, we will probably sleep until 11.00pm then head out for dinner), and then another monster bus ride across Argentina to the Lake District.

Must admit to being a little bit jealous of those of you watching the Tour de France in London today, and also the weather we are seeing at Wimbledon today. It is quite cold here, and expected to get much colder when we move away from Buenos Aires, but we fully appreciate your lack of sympothy

Bye for now.

We're back
We're back home - shame, but it's now much easier to follow your progress. According to the Daily Express this morning, you're having very cold weather and snow - hope you've got your thermals with you - headrest covers won't be enough. Keep safe xx
