11th July - 13th July

Arrived 5am in the morning...straight to the hostel Sol y Mar! situated right on the beach, with its own pool, hammocks...it was a backpacker´s dream...i finally crashed! exhaustion from the previous days of tarvelling having caught up with me.

When i finally woke up from my sleeping beauty routine, i headed straight to the beach...where sun and sand burnt my eyes! finally after 4 months of travelling, i hit a decent beach! God i miss the Australian beaches. Don´t get me wrong, it was a nice beach, but we do get spoilt in Australia! bought the tackiest possible towel, and just lay with my fellow backpackers and gloating in the soothing sun! finally attempted to start writing in my personal travel diary...some things just can´t be mentioned in a travel blog!

That night (monday) we headed out to a local bar. it seemed that all the backpackers in town had been staying at my hostel...so wherever we headed, that´s where the party ended! a few drinks later the bar closed....so the party continued at one of the locals houses. We all chipped in for drinks, and stayed up chatting and dancing...don´t know why,
partying with the localspartying with the localspartying with the locals

these are the crazy nutters that invited us to party till the wee hours of the night
but it seems that every south american can dance salsa...need to get me some lessons! its a damn sexy dance when done right!

My friend Claudio caught up with me the next day, and again, it was just another day of chillin on the beach. Tempted to surf, but too lazy to do anything about it! It was also a popular place for kite surfing, but at US$40 per hour lessons (minimum 3 hours), it wasn´t to be! but it looked amazing!
