After going bird mad when Gary the birdwatcher was here a couple of weeks ago, we have since changed our recent mania to herptiles (reptiles and amphibians) due to the arrival of a rather mental Swiss herpetologist called Conrad Mebert PHd. This bloody boa kept using our museum as a toilet. We were always having to clean up after it, then conrad caught. this photo is taken right after it bit him.

The confluence of the Tambopata and the La Torre at Explorer´s Inn´s port. Both rivers have swolen to a huge extent and washed away lots of land.
