¡Bueno!

So here we are in Lima, Peru.. It is noisy, foggy and smoggy. But also vibrant. Navigating the streets is like playing real-life frogger.

We have decided that this blog will be focused on our favorite thing: food. We´re still working on a good name.. Maybe "Comida, Etc"? In any case, this will be an account of our gastronomic adventures and anything else we think is cool. As many of you might have heard me (Sandra) say before, I have but 3 rules when trying new foods. 1. I wont eat anything that has ever been a pet of mine. 2. I won´t eat anything that is rotting or putrified, and 3. I won´t eat anything that is still alive. Everything else is fair game.

We are trying to eat both at restaurants and sample the vast variety of street vendor´s cuisine. Moving forward, I will try to establish a better format for this, but for now, I am going to be simple and just try to add photos with captions.

Paz,

S&S

s and i had the works for about 30 cents US. it had some sort of chicken patty, potatoes, and a bunch of different sauces. not sure what they were but one might have been beet sauce. maybe one with carroway. interesting and tasty.

lunch in Miraflores was a little underwhelming. Most notable part was the so called by the waitress, purple corn drink. Cloyingly sweet, and not much corny about it. I tasted a x between ginger beer and grape juice. But sweeeeeter.. one sip and I was toast.

These things are everywhere and with good reason. the only way to improve upon fried douugh with cinnamon and sugar? fill it with dulce de leche. yum yum
