Well we finally made it to Lima Peru. After a one day layover we had an LA where we were able to spend some quality time with our friend Celina. And her beautiful son Noah. We arrived in Lima in the middle of the night and with my rusty Spanish as quickly as for the are taxi driver to drop it off at the grocery for a little bit of water and guess what I got all the water I can handle. He drove us near the Pacific Ocean and said hey, there's your water! So I was thoroughly chastened and ready to get better at my Spanish speaking skills. This morning we started out strong after a fitful night of rest not much sleep going into the day but we had a fantastic day. After getting a local breakfast have some bread and beautiful eggs. We were able to join a walking tour with a young man it was all over town. Currently we are in the Miraflores district. We took local transportation and went over to the city center where we saw the local sites of local Chapel of that the chapel de San Francisco where was Barbara and I later went on a tour by ourselves. The guide walked us through the city telling us about the sites and about the history of the area. We had some lunch from empanadas. And then we went on to see more sites with a fantastic ending with Pisco Sours which seems to be a Peruvian drink that they are extremely proud of. Barb and I then went over to the church of San Francisco of the Saint Francis Assisi order. This order was issued in the creation of the Hispanic or the Spanish colonial rule here in the end in the nation. We went to the church and it was amazing I would not feel the least bit shy about comparing it to the Sistine Chapel. We then went into the catacombs underneath the church and had a fantastic site waiting else besides original frozen beautiful paintings we also got to see beautiful beautiful bones! These bones were from Catholic families or a priest Catholic priest. There were hundreds if not thousands cause they look like mostly femurs cuz the rest of the degraded in time. it was fantastic you got some shopping done. And now we're just waiting for a taxi to take us over to Bolivia well to take us to the airport to get over to Bolivia so we get back into Peru and check out like to be tacos tomorrow I'll be in Bolivia the next day in Peru. I'll keep you in touch and I will get photos uploaded as soon as possible. Love you much, a
