I have been contemplating changing the name of this blog to something more international. But, I am "Rokia on the Run" so you can't just expect me to be in one place. We followed this path behind the Palacio. It heads to a bridge over the Rimac River and off my map.

A view from the bridge behind the Palacio. Lima is surrounded by hills and you could see far into the distance into the housing outside of Lima. The Peruvian flag is on the top of the mountain below the cross.

Maybe we live in the security age, but I was thinking, "Why would you build a railroad right behind the Government Palace?" It is the Estacion Desamparados.

This is a view from the mall that popped up in 2002 and a popular destinations for Limneos (the inhabitants of Lima).

Or, Love Park. It was opened on Valentine's Day, 1993. It features similar mosaic work to that of Gaudi's Park Guell. Someday I'll put up my pictures of Spain but until then, take my word for it.

Or, The Kiss. It is the main statue in the Parque del Amor, sculpted by Victor Delfin. He has several statues in public places across Peru and often incorporates traditional elements in his work.
