Today was a great day! Arrived in Cusco from Lima (I think everyone was glad to leave there), then boarded our private motor coach for the trip down into the Sacred Valley. Fed llamas (yeah- but no llama spit yet Mark A.) Had a wonderful lunch in Pisac, briefly toured the Pisac ruins, stopped at the local market in Pisac and bought finger puppets among other things.

Finally arrived at our beautiful hotel in Yucay near the Urubamba River and had a great dinner at the hotel.

Found a tiny little market with internet access - costs 1 sol per hour (33 cents US). Amazing.....

Tomorrow will be a full day - leaving at 8:30am for discoveries (an OAT term) followed by a raft trip on the Urubamba, then ruins at Ollaytaytambo. Later will be the home hosted dinner - hopefully they will not be serving guinea pig!!!

Later! Will try to find out if we can upload pics. They do not speak English..

To Connie
We've heard that there are virgin sacrifices in that area. Luckily, you are safe (and have been for a very, very, very long time). Good to hear that you're having a great time.
