Memorable visit
Dear Marilyn, We stayed at the same hotel in Cusco. I remember walking up hill to the laundry and wondering why I was breathing so hard, until I remembered the altitude. Great place. Thanks for refreshing our wonderful memories. Cheers and Hugs Warren and Judy

Cultural Exchange with People long gone
The story of the trip makes me want to go there soon. I didn't know that the Inca were peaceful and had no weapons to resist the Spanish or that you could be made comfortable at high altitudes with coca leaves, Diamox and oxygen. Or that even in rough terrain you could have a room with a fireplace! Marilyn thanks for sharing so much history and useful information
