Well Geoff woke up feeling better but I woke up feeling worse. Apparently we've caught some sort of a bug to finish off our trip. Shoot. I actually feel so bad that I can't even really eat OR drink coffee. So we know something is really off. Thankfully Geoff has his appetite back & is eating well enough for both of us.
So today was essentially a repeat of yesterday only I felt icky & Geoff was feeling better. We kept telling each other that if there is anywhere to be sick this would be it. At least the worst of our worries is whether to lay in the sun or sit in the shade in a hammock.
The food was amazing again only I couldn't eat much of it. I had a couple bites but my tummy wasn't interested in eating. Geoff enjoyed it so at least there was one of us who did.
We did a lot of reading today & staring at the ocean & unfortunately a lot of talking about going home. We're excited to get home but sad to leave this life of travel. We're doing our best to pre-decompress about the reality of
going home. We talk a lot about how it makes us feel. Prepping.
After showering today I was drying off & realized that I was eye to eye with a big white frog attached to the shower curtain at eye level. He sat through the entire shower & apparently just hung out. (I told this story at dinner also & the girl from London said that happened to her once & the frog spit all over her face when she tried to move it, ugh, I'm glad that didn't happen to me!).
The Green Parrots showed up again for Happy Hour & the bugs & frogs made their appearance for night singing. Before dinner we sat on our deck & enjoyed the night & the sounds of the ocean. While sitting in our chairs we saw a frog jump onto the back of a chair right next to us. Geoff ran inside to get the camera to snap a photo while I kept my eye on the frog. Well, I'm not sure who was really watching who because once Geoff came back out & was getting ready to take the photo, the frog jumped off the back of
Watch for falling coconuts!
Our only worry in this paradise. the chair & straight onto my face. MY FACE!!! I screamed sooo loudly while swatting away at him & yelling a few choice words. He jumped off my face, onto the table, onto the back of his chair & ended up on the side railing behind us. Whoa. I don't know why he wanted jump on my face, but he did & that was really more close than I wanted to be with nature. Ick. We laughed a lot about it & at dinner everyone asked what I had screamed about. They said all they heard was my scream & "face." We all got a good laugh out of the story. Too funny.
All was well & normal here after that. Except for the fact that I almost passed out after dinner (where I couldn't eat). I think I stood up too fast or because I ate almost nothing today but I was soo dizzy I saw stars. Geoff helped me to bed & that was it for me for the day. Annoying but I'm trying not to complain too much since we are in paradise...
A frog filled day in paradise....
