I'm russ, I'm from New Zealand and have developed a love for travelling over the last couple of years. It was the best descision of my life for sure, breaking the routine and heading off to explore the globe, and I would highly recommend getting out there and having a close up look and anything that you've read about or heard about that intrests you, because if it looks cool on TV, I can garuntee you that it'll be even cooler when you are there amoungst it. The Chiva

This would be close to the best night out I've had in South America, these buses are called Chivas and they pack them out people and a band and everything and cruise around the city past all the pretty spots and everyone just goes crazy. the everlasting rum definately adds to the fun, along with dancing up on the seats and singing and shaking shakers along with the band. Me and Richard went along and had an absolute blast!!!

these box-carts are every where in Cartagena, people use them to push absolutely anything around the city and the cars give way as if they were just another comutor

The juice man

this is the best thing ever on a scorching hot day, little fish tanks filled with some lush juice and a whole heap of ice.

The coffee man

these guys are everywhere too. I should of really given the Colombian coffee a mention a lot earlier in the piece, it is absolutely delicious and so cheap. you get a little cup of one of these guys for about 10c.

these girls were so cute, they lived just up the street from my hostel so they stop me for a chat every time I walked past.

looking for a vacation place?.....
I am from Colombia. I was searching by the internet o good place to go for vacation this august... looking some where in the Caribbean or Europe, and I found this photos and the comments of somebody who went to Cartagena, Colombia, and had a lot of fun... Hola a todos, este sitio Casa El Carretero es realmente bello. Yo he viajado a Cartagena varias veces y me he quedado en varios hoteles, pero la experiencia que brinda Casa El Carretero http://www.casaelcarretero.com es unica. Me encanto la vista del Barrio El Getsemani desde la terraza de la casa. Se los recomiendo a todos.
