San Antonio Bus TerminalSan Antonio Bus TerminalSan Antonio Bus Terminal

Kate says oouch!
The Port of San Antonio.

Nice breakkie again at the Hostal , need to change up the menu a bit though. 3 seatings, always the same. I can remember travelling the UK and after 3 or 4 English breakfasts in a row at B&B's I just needed something different.

Kate did a good packing job and we grabbed the Metro to the Bus Terminal, Pullman line. We are getting proficient at transit. Assigned us seats at a total cost of only $14 for the pair on a 1 hr 30 min trip

The bus was a late model unit, clean, seemed to be in good repair, and the driver spoke a little English. The ride was uneventful, not much to look at, farming area , we got to see where the beauty strawberries are grown!

Different story in San Antonio bus terminal. Not so nice , I'll just leave it at that. Again with the stray dogs everywhere.

$3 Taxi ride to our hotel. Really not much to do in the downtown core, particularly on a Sunday. Had some beers and fries on the upper deck of one of the few restaurants open and were serenaded by troubadors.

On the dock is a large establishment which was advertised as a Casino. Turned out it was Small Casino/hotel/shopping centre. Beautiful view of the port, where we had a coffee. Only Casino Ive ever seen that had a cover charge. We did not let them take Kathy's peso's

Large market along the dock, knicknacks , fish , clothing and entertainers. Busy Sunday crowd. Spent a couple hours enjoying the day. Kate bought a scarf. Not many people that looked like cruisers, so we imagined that they would be arriving tomorrow morning to board the ship.

Picked up dinner again at the local market , not many eat out choices available other than the Food Market in the Mall. KFC, Dunkin Donuts some interesting local franchise style outlets.

Back at our lodging, now just catching up on internet.

Nice sunset view of the harbour from the reception area.

Catch you on the side.
