We arrived in Santiago airport in a sorry state! That all night party that was so much fun at the time was really taking its toll now. Economy class being what it is I only got 2ish hours of broken sleep, so thats 2ish in 2 nights. I looked half dead and there was no chance of me getting any spanish out. Thankfully most people have some english and we got to the only backpackers we had the name of and fell in to bed. I got a good 6 hours sleep then went out to get food, I could barely keep my eyes open at the table. When we got back we went straight to bed again, this time we slept for about 16 hours straight; well deserved though.
We didn´t get up to much for the first few days, we went out around Santiago and settled in to our new spanish speaking culture. We booked a spanish course for the following week and booked 3 days of Snowboarding the the Andes.
The snowboarding was great, perfect conditions and there was noone on the runs!! It really felt like the place was about to close down, some runs you
The main slope
@ el Colorado, Santiago. could be the only one in sight, it was magic! We had 3 great days, loads of great runs,2 great parks and loads of falls. Unfourtunatly we just missed loads of powder riding, there is loads of backcountry riding here and I´d love to come back! They do helidrops too 😊
We arrived back in Santiago pretty late and really tired so a night on the town was out, hopefully we´ll get out soon.
