Monday, the 19th, we departed Bariloche, Argentina with the goal of getting to Peru as soon as possible. We had our first delayed bus, by about 3 hours, from Bariloche to Osorno, but we had plenty of time between buses so it was ok. After two hours in Osorno (not a very attractive town judging just by the bus station and the area around it), we hopped on Tur Bus for an overnight to Santiago. It was the nicest bus we had been on. A cama bus (bed bus) so we slept the entire time. After being gone for seemingly forever, it was strange to return to Santiago. With a good nights sleep under our belts, we decided to press on and head north. La Serena was the city of choice. So after two hours or so in Santiago, filled with a grocery store trip and train station swap, we hopped on the 7 hour ride to La Serena. Semi cama for that one. Nothing too exciting to report. All in all, we were at about 23 hours on the bus and 4ish hours in transition. I do wonder how many kilometers that was...
