I and Dan Ruby arrived in Santiago this morning by plane, Pete and Cristina decided to the bus from San Pedro, 24hrs. Dan and I caught a cab to a hostel called Happy Hostel, I recommend this high end hostel,it is reasonably priced and has high speed internet, the staff is friendly.
Dan and checked in then went out to check out the city. Santiago is a modern city with all the amenities. We took the subway,bought hats and had a nice lunch that wasn't salami sandwiches!
Later in the evening Pete and Cristina showed up and we all went out for dinner. The next day we boarded a plane for Rapa Nui (Easter Island).
