Rio, to Paraty

Almost Christmas like fervour as we claim our bags and check all our possessions are still inside.

Once more we have breakfast and today's shower is warmer but scary and the water jets straight from the wall through electrical wires.

Surviving this there is only time to find a book store and pick up some food for the journey although Tor manages to pop into a market and pick up her first of many beads.

The taxi to the bus station is R$35 and then we get a lovely coach to Paraty complete with leg rest.

The journey is beautiful winding between coast line and mountains giving us a real flavour for the South coast of Brazil.
