Hey,
I know what you are thinking Brendon and i in a place called Party but no look again it's Paraty pronounced "parachie" this is also a very beautiful old fashioned place, a little harbour town with white wash buildings and art galleries. The town is built bellow sea level and when the tide is high the water fills some of the streets and the locals have to wear wellies to get into there homes, this has been happening here from day one and it doesn't leave any damage.
On the second day in Paraty 6 of us from the group decide to hire a boat for the day, our tour leader tells us to relax for a couple of hours while he goes to negotiate a boat for us, when he tells us its under 15 pounds each we think cool, but expect a tiny chug boat.
When Kate, Brad, Garth. Beverly, Brendon and I turn up, a big shiney antique cruise boat awaits us and we have one of the best days of our lives.
We all just relax while the captain takes us round all the little islands, he stops to let us snorkle in the sea, it was a bit cold so I didn't bother but Brendon along with Brad was right in there loving it, at first Brendon was a bit freaked as he couldn't cordinate his breathing properly but once he did he was off.
Once everyone was aboard the captain brought us up caipirihnas(a Brazillian cocktail), we are now chilled to the max. Then the captain stopped to let us see tiny bright red birds the size of sparrows and the colour of post boxes. we then pulled up to this island that had one hut and a few tables and chairs which turned out to be a restaurant, our lunch consisted of fresh fish and the most amazing breaded calamari and we were the only people on this island just chillin sipping on some cocktails and munching on some fish, QUALITY. We then set off again and then all of a sudden the captain switches the engine off in the middle of this bay and we're all like what's going on here, then two giant sea turtles pop there heads above the water and swim around the boat. A great ending to a great day
