So...Lets go to Jerri...

Jerri Jerri you´re so fine, you´re so fine you blow my mind.... heh Jerri...(tap tap tap)...heh Jerri!

Okay, well...in all fairness, if you need to pay some dude 16 deep sea squids to take you across a beach and 2 rivers for a good hour and a half sitting on the back of a deathtrap of a beach buggy (like a VW beetle, with a frame and massive wheels) you must be going somewhere pretty special and it must be worth it! I´ll let you in on a little secret - it was!!!

We tried to barter with this dude because he wanted 66 pound to take 4 if us (Locky on tow plus Cyril frenchie Portugeese translator friend...good man!)on the back of his mean yellow buggy machine - where health and safety gets chucked out the window (what window?) and you sit over the back giving yourself piles going at about 60mph with the wind gushing in your face and sand rearranging it...Would have worn my Prada miracular spectacular sunnies but was too scared of them falling off...I was too scared of me falling off for God´s sake! Pretty cool dune buggy though...And seemed like we were travelling for ages, then a bike overtook us, then we had a race with another buggy...then we came to a river and had to stop...Over comes these three guys out for a bit of punting. But it wasn´t punting, that was our raft, a block of wood and three skinny brazilian mojos with sticks pushing us and the buggy over the river...MADNESS! ramp down, splish splash splosh...whizz whizz...quck, race that buggy again...I can´t feel my face..eh! Where´s Rob gone? Off the back - SHOOT...nah only joking, he was just ducking...ha ha ha ha!

Eventually drove into Jeriquaquara, a tropical paradise in the north of Brazil - absolutely stunning!

***STOP PRESS***

sorry, and urgent message has just arrived...! Before I can continue, can I call upon a miss Katrina Louise Byrne...? Please could you go to the nearest travel agent urgently...You presence is requested as they need to book your next holiday..1 flight to Fortaleza, north of Brazil...then you must book into WindJerri at Jeriquaquara, for 2 weeks and put your feet up..! If this causes a problem, please do not reply as I am only a messenger...

Anywho...back to thi gobbledee gook yurgle splurgle make you all feel jealous wearing your fleeces and warm cloths...HA! So, as we drove up the main street (road made of sand) we were smiling like cheshire cats from ear to ear. YESH - this is what we need, bit of relaxing for a coupe of days. Yep, that 3 day stint ended up being nearly a week! Walking down the main street with its amass of shops and kitesurfing centres and bars, supermercados and buggy after buggy after buggy, all of a sudden your body flops back into hippy mode and you just seem relaxed. Everyone in this town loves this place and they´re all so friendly and willing to do anything, well a bit more than you´d want from some people - but we´ll get to that later! And the beach - O, the beach...what a beach, not that big, but the waves are just right and the constant cool bristling wind makes sunbathing a doddle! Then when you´re out in the sea above waist height, you look back and see this town emmerging from the palm trees and sandjunes - WOAW...amazing...Belfast-who, where, what City hall??!?!?!

....so yeah, first night...bottle of Vodka for 1 pound 50 p, thankyou kind sir...another game of shithead, and once again we´re struggling to get down to the beach. turned out an awesome night and I ended up with one of the kindest guys you will ever meet, who appears to run half the town! Itama (sp)...turns out he was gay and likes me ...´very much´...but he was good banter, so I made him sweat a bit...no need...I´m as bent as a ruler for god´s sake! So aul Itama took us to a bar and we just dandered past the queue, then though to a courtyard with the Brazilian 2 step dance (that I really can´t get a hold of! - but I´m determined!)...It was an awesome night, that ended with me and Locky walking up the beach after going for a swim at 6 in the morning asking each other - ´how the f**k did we end up here..?´ And that was only the first night.

Things didn´t really change for the rest of the week. It was just booze, lie ins (although we made breakfast each mornign), and there was a moment when me and Rob lathered each other up with suncream in front of everyone sitting eating at a restaurant - hilarious, they all watched in amazement at these white brits on tour..! Never even made it sandboarding, would have loved to d kitesurfing, but that was like 230 quid...and I´m a backpacker remember! So yeah, relax relax relax in paradise!...Was an awesome 5 / 6 days...and a hoooooooge shout out to my main man Tom and bro bro bruvvvva Eric. 2 sfe as houses guys from London baby...they were hear for a 2 / 3 week holiday over New Year staying in WindJerri hotel...bit nice compared to our poo-hole! We tried to skin them brazilians on the beach but our skill wasn´t quite up to scratch! bit of practice.

Struggled home on xmas moring after scaling a sandjune, and Eric and I had our brakfast pastry feast at some cafe...4 / 5 pund and we got like 4/5 pastries, coffee and cake and pizza! Although it was all stinking...but munched the lot!...

yeah sad to leave, especially after we had run out of money with no cashpont and me having to exchange dollars to get our bus fare home - mission on xmas day with a hangover! But I could have stayed here for a year - easily...! You all must really check this place out, if you´re ever in the area..HA!

...So we ended up xmas in Jerri..in the sun! Didn´t feel like xmas though, was more like another day on the beach - MISS YOU BURNSIE FAMILY..!! all love, especially you mum during this time...xoxoxoxo!
