From Salvador we took a Catamaran to Morro de Sao Paulo. We read articles that the journey was rough but seriously - ITS ROUGH! Penny tried to hold out but lost the battle right at the end. A good tip is to sit at the back of the boat and look straight ahead of you breathing in deeply. Penny did spot a whale though and managed to find the strength to shout and point at it so that everyone got to see it too! BUT the journey is worth it. This place is beautiful. Its also a travellers hub and we met up with people that we were in Arrial with which was really nice. There are no cars. Luggage (and sometimes people) are transported by men in wheelborrows with taxi written on them. The first place we stayed at was Pousada Caravern. The owners are lovely and the rooms are clean but it is far from the beach and the action so we moved the next day to saint Morro REALLY lovely accomodation. The owner Ricardo is really helpful. He also helped Maz book a fishing trip with a local. HEHEHEHEH What fun that turned out to be. Maz persuaded two of the boys we met to go with him, but they all got drunk the night before - Penny did try and warn them!!!! So the next day when they got back from fishing I was crying at the stories of how they were vomiting for 4 hours and trying to sleep. They did catch fish though and we ate them that night - AND they tasted really good. Every monday and Thursday a party on the beach is held which is really good fun. They also hold parties in their Theatre - but beware of making sure you find the quickest journey there as it took as an hour steep up hill to find the place but only 5 mins to get back!!!! All in all this place is really relaxing and its definately helped Penny to feel right as rain.

Gonna be sad to leave here - esp with the knowledge of havign to do teh boat trip back!!!!!

till then.... x
